Freebie Roundup

Yes. I have received so many freebies lately, it's essential to do a roundup. You see, I NEVER win anything. And the ample luck in winning the mundane yet truly enjoyable freebie has made me question my luck. Is it just a spurt of good luck? Did the stars align just right and result in this? Could I have had much more?!?

So these are the freebies I've got:

1. Beaded Candle lamp
Did you know that people on Twitter are all out to give out freebies because they want more followers? The trick is to be online at the right time and be quick. Really really quick. I replied to a video of a candle lamp available for a giveaway, that was posted by a Chef in San Francisco (ahh... the marvels of technology and it's ability to connect people) and voila! I was the first to reply and I got a friggin' pretty lamp!

2.  $50 Gift card to Keegan's Irish pub
My realtor has occasional contests, using it as a method of keeping her name top of mind. All that had to be done was to reply to an email she sent out. Turns out I was destined to win this time around. 50 bucks of amazing beer and other assorted booze - here I come!

And the Cherry on the Cake:

3.  Tickets to the Black Eyed Peas concert here in St. Paul, MN
This one was a big shocker, and again, only possible through Twitter. CityPages, a local newspaper in the Twin Cities was having a contest on Twitter and within minutes of Tweeting "gimme tix @citypages! Please :-)" I won 2 tickets to the show!

Makes me wonder where this luck could've got me if it was directed toward the job hunt ;-). Till I figure that out, I'll go berserk getting excited about seeing Fergie and the rest of the cool guys perform tomorrow evening.
